Stranger Things 5

FROM SOLO TO THE STREETS

The shared experience vs the Upside Down

In a culture of solo streaming, endless scrolling, and life lived alone in cars and on couches, loneliness is just... normal. We find ourselves alone on a Friday night fantasizing as our on-screen friends in Hawkins as team up in basements and bike lanes. From the clutches of culture’s loneliness epidemic, Stranger Things has always been a vision of friends saving each other from the darkness not just through heroism , but through... togetherness. Friends on bikes. Moving together. The shared quest. Facing the unknown as a pack. What better way to celebrate the culmination of 5 seasons of friends on bikes than filling the streets of the entertainment capital of the world with a middle finger to loneliness and inviting the world to team up and kick Vecna’s a**... the ultimate symbol of streaming’s loneliness?

MELROSE TURNS UPSIDE-DOWN

Teaming up with Netflix and LA bike heroes CicLAvia, One Last Ride turned four miles of Hollywood streets into a sensory driven adventure through Hawkins and the Upside Down, inviting tens of thousands of fans to pedal through terror and friendship as they dodged custom fabricated mobile monstrosities, got swept up in crowds of costumed flash mobs and explored fully interactive environments inspired by key locations from the show. Whether on foot, or on wheels, fans engaged in a choose-your-own-adventure-style quest to help defeat the forces of darkness, all to the beat of 80's inspired live performances. And the Upside Down fervor stretched its tentacles into the local small business community too, transforming multiple Melrose storefronts along the way with show-inspired food, tattoos, and even buzzcuts bringing the world of Stranger Things beyond the screen and into the culture itself.

Designed and Produced - From Mobile Monstrosities to Event Brand Identity

Every touchpoint of the experience was concepted and designed in-house by Dorothy Creative in close collaboration with Netflix partners.... From the event identity and logo lockup to large-format graphics, route signage, mobile attractions, ambassador moments, and fan-facing installations, we built a complete world that translated Stranger Things from screen to street. The result was a cohesive open-air brand system that made the ride feel cinematic, collectible, and unmistakably Hawkins, while still fitting naturally into the energy of CicLAvia and the streets of Los Angeles.
